Governor Newsom Adds Counties to Drought Proclamation and Asks for Voluntary 15% Reduction from All Californians

Governor Newson held a press conference yesterday focused on the state’s drought conditions.  At the event, he extended his previous drought proclamation to include more counties including Inyo, Marin, Mono, Monterey, San Luis Obispo, San Mateo, Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz.

He also signed Executive Order N-10-21 which calls for “all Californians to voluntarily reduce their water use by 15 percent from their 2020 levels.”
